We've gone live!

Chuck and I recently decided to start our own family blog after viewing one created by the Petersons, some friends from our community group. We figure it is an easy way to keep family and friends updated on what is going on in our crazy household! With our three energetic kids -- Charlie (5), Mimi (3) and Cooper (4 months) -- we have a lot going on. Some of our recent activities:
--Family trip to NYC and the Hamptons last month
--Karate, golf lessons with mom, T-Ball, swimming, art camp and DCC sports camp (Charlie)
--Ballet camp, swimming, and cooking camp (Mimi)
--lounging around and getting more enormous by the day (Cooper)
--golf vacation to Scotland and running his hedge fund (Chuck)
--chasing around the kids, getting ready to be a core group leader for CBS, trying to keep the house neat and generally managing the madness (Jessica)!

Here are some photos from our recent trip to NYC and Southampton. It was great to catch up with old friends and spend some quality time with the family. While in NYC, we enjoyed the Central Park Zoo, Dylan's Candy Bar, and especially FAO Schwartz! Charlie bought a hovercraft and a Bionicle, while Mimi designed her VERY OWN CUSTOM BARBIE DOLL! I don't know who had more fun ... Mimi or my friend Deanne and me! She picked out all of the features of her Barbie on a touch-screen computer -- everything from hair color, outfit, right down to her accessories! Then the Barbie comes out on a motorized catwalk, does a pirouette at the end of the runway, and eventually ends up in the overjoyed hands of the girl who created her. You can see from the photos that Mimi was beside herself.
We also had fun in NYC meeting up with Uncle Tyler, who lives in nearby Astoria and is a starving actor in the city. He, Grandma and Harry met all of us for brunch at Alice's Tea Cup ... photos to come soon. So much fun! Cooper was very excited to finally meet his uncle!
I think the icing on the cake for the kids was finally being allowed to purchase their very own WEBKINZ!!!!!!! Yes, Webkinz mania has its grip on the Griege household. If we are able to tear Charlie away from the computer long enough to eat a meal or finish a complete sentence, then it is a good day!
Southampton was (for the most part) relaxing and peaceful. The Dzialga's home was off-the-charts amazing and we wish we could have taken it back with us to Dallas! Charlie LOVED the beach, while Mimi thought it was "too loud" and Cooper slept through it all.
Overall, what a GREAT family vacation, although I can't say I miss living in NYC! It is always nice to get home to Dallas.
