Well, the past several days have been very interesting. Poor little Cooper picked up a virus from his big sister and brother, which turned into croup. Then, he ended up in the hospital on Sunday afternoon because of trouble breathing. Unfortunately, the steroids they gave him at Children's didn't work, and we were back in the hospital (this time at Presby) the next evening, with even worse breathing problems. It was pretty scary! They ended up keeping us there through most of the night Monday night.
Of course, this would have to happen with Chuck out of town! He was in St. Louis at our family golf tournament fundraiser, Links for Life--Cure Leukemia. Thankfully, Dad was in town and was able to meet me at the hospital Monday night and stayed with us until Cooper was breathing better, around 3 a.m. Cooper ended up having 3 breathing treatments and two injections of steroids by the end of our stay. Poor little guy!
Thankfully, our sweet little Coop is doing much better today. Chuck came home early from his trip yesterday and we are all recovering well. Just a little sleep-deprived. Cooper is so good-natured that he has barely cried throughout this entire ordeal. Check him out in bed snuggling with his lovie and favorite pillow.
In the midst of all the madness, Mimi had her first soccer game! She is on the Unicorns, and looks mighty cute in her pink jersey, pink socks, pink shinguards and pink cleats. She made us very proud at her first game. She had a rough start (didn't like all the kids fighting over one ball) but by the end of it, was quite the player.
Charlie had to miss his first game last night due to illness, but will be back next week. Chuck is coaching the team again, this time he is on the Warriors.

Oh, poor baby and poor Mommy! That must have been scary. I still remember my parents having to take my little bro to the hospital on more than one occasion for the croup. He looks pretty darn cute for being sick.
Under no circumstances can M. see the pink soccer uniforms. She would be so jealous! Very cute!
